About RAWCS Eastern Region
RAWCS Eastern Region is active in providing world community service across many projects, including programs such as Donations In Kind (DIK), Rotary Project Volunteers, Rotarians Against Malaria (RAM) and Safe Water Saves Lives (SWSL).

Donations in Kind (DIK) RAWCS Eastern Region has a warehouse in Prospect in Sydney which is a clearing house for serviceable equipment which is no longer required but which can be used to support Rotary projects in developing countries. Typically the equipment that is most needed are items for schools and hospitals/medical centres. A recently introduced program stemmed from the "Building Education Revolution " (BER) which made redundant Furniture available to schools in overseas countries via the Rotary Furniture Goodwill Program . Rotary Project Volunteers There are a large variety of projects conducted by the Eastern Region. In 2010 80 teams with 382 volunteers visited 16 countires Some examples of projects are Village Aide Programme in the Philippines Rotarians for Fighting Aids (Rotary Club of Coolamon) The Eastern Region website has links to U-tube videos that show examples of other projects Contact the coordinator Bill Littleto find out more about projects from this region. |
